Basic questions (I think) from a beginner
I am brand new to the Ultimate Team concept. I have spent time searching for answers to these questions and obviously have come up empty. I'm hoping someone with more experience can answer these for me.
1) Some cards I am allowed to auction off and others I am not allowed to. I cannot figure out the difference between the cards.
2) I think I know the answer to this, but just to confirm: The ratings and the players aren't really related, correct? I was intrigued by the idea of trying to collect good (in real life) players, but I gather that's pointless, and my goal should be to collect players with higher ratings even if they are actually "just a guy" in real life. So, having a Donovan Edwards that is 65 is pretty useless, yes?
3) Speaking of Edwards, there a couple players (like Edwards) where I have two separate cards with different ratings. On the one hand, they are connected in some way, because EA prevents me from using both in the lineup. On the other hand, they appear to have nothing to do with each other, and since I can't use both in the lineup, there is zero reason to keep the lesser rated card, correct?
4) It appears that to boost the ratings for a player you have to apply the training points. I don't fully understand how that works--it doesn't seem straightforward to be honest--but really I just want to confirm that's the only way to permanently boost a card's rating. I understand they can get temporary boosts depending on how your lineup is constructed (i.e., if you have a certain group of players with the same "chemistry").
5) What the heck are the Strategy cards and what do they do?
6) Is there any impact to the team's performance with regard to uniforms, stadium, or playbooks, or are those all just for personal preference?
1) some cards, mostly from rewards, are account bound (bnd) and can not be auctioned. also upgraded cards turned bnd. those cards have a little "BND" sign.
2) players with higher overalls should perform better.
3) it should not be possible to use different versions of the same player at the same time. maybe EA will add later out of position players like in madden. for example a player that is a WR gets also a CB card, then it should be possible to use one card at offense and the other in defense.
4) with training you can unlock ability slots and team chemistry. at the moment i cant see the value for paying 15k for the team chem...
5) i only own a WR strat card. it boosts several wr stats.
6) those have only visual effects.
