Postition battle not starting

I started a new season in RTG and was 2nd string the previous year but at thw start of the season I was moved back to 4th string with all my coach trust still there and it being far higher than any other players. I then played 2 games and made it up too 2nd string. I played another game and my coach trust was already much higher than the starter but the position battle for starter will not appear. Does anyone know a fix? Thanks
