Road to Glory is Difficult to Enjoy at the QB Position
Over twenty years of making football games, and the gameplay simply absurd.
1) Worthless receivers constantly drop passes even at 100% catching. Nearly zero possibility of contested catch.
2) Offensive line cannot hold blocks long enough, at all, for receivers to get open. Throwing into the middle of the field is useless.
3) I am very annoyed when I am trying to get the ball out quickly and I press any button, and absolutely nothing happens. No pass, just holding the ball so I can get sacked. It's absurd.
4) Receivers, way too often, do not run the right routes, or let the ball hit them in the back or shoulder without even realizing the ball was thrown to them. It's annoying.
5) There's hundreds of plays in the playbook; why does the computer choose the same plays nearly 60% of the time?
6) How is it the DBs can make unrealistic and absurd attempts to intercept the ball (e.g., launching themselves into the air when the WRs can't do that; or worse somehow become Usain Bolt and catch anyone there is to be able to try and deflect/intercept the ball) and my receivers -- who are receivers for a reason -- can't?
7) Why is it the DBs are better receivers than the actual Wide Receivers?
There's more, of course; but I'm posting this after dealing with this for too many games today.
