RTG Player Questions

Something I do not understand.  I am RB 1 on a team.  Using the last 3 games, I have received, 9,7,12 carries as RB with a few passes thrown my way.  RB 2 has 20, 17, 15 carries in those same games.  I am averaging over 9 yards a carry, the other(rb2) 2 yards a carry.  What gives here?  Secondly, when I was RB2 in the previous year I had a total of 20 carries for the entire season.  This simply does not add up.  Something is wrong with the AI's understanding of keeping the better player in the game especially in close games.  IN RTG. I have no control when the game keeps me in or pulls me out.
