Why did I go from HB1 to HB4 in RTG between practice and game?

Can anyone provide a reason why the following happened?
I was playing an underdog campaign as a HB. Went to Troy cause everywhere else was walk on. I redshirted freshman year. I graduated already. So i am a (RS) Senior that has graduated. Started Junior year and had to position battle to start senior year. We're winning with a 5-2 record going into week 8. I had just done really well the previous week. I do my weekly agenda and practice and it still says I am HB1. I go to play the game and it makes me sit out the entire game. Once the game is over and I advance to next week, wondering why I sat out, my screen shows position battle for HB3. I got demoted all the way to HB4 for some reason halfway through my senior season as a two year starter. Why?
