Team builder meant for Madden

With the release of info on Madden, including team builder I’m beginning to wonder if this wasn’t actually built for CFB and was a Madden feature that EA tried to force fit into CFB at the last minute and that’s why there’s so many issues. The one interface I saw of the Madden team builder it looked the same. I don’t remember anything being mentioned about team builder when features were announced for CFB and then it all of a sudden was released.
