You can help with this on Sony's support site here.
I’ve looked here. I still don’t know what I need to change to what

Click the + sign next to "AV amplifier audio settings". Try changing the setting for number of channels. Make sure this doesn't say 5.1 or 7.1.
I don’t even know where to find that but I don’t see it anywhere in settings

Go here - https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/hardware/ps5-change-audio-output/
Scroll down until you see this:
You will then see this if your audio output is set to use an HDMI device.
You need to go to this setting on your PS5 and choose the number of channels. If you don't have a surround sound system.
I had to adjust HDMI device type to AV amplifier to get the AV amplifier info to become whited out to be able to change. Now I have the choice between 2 ch or 5.1 or 7.1 as seen in this pic. Was it not already correct with TV as the selected choice for HDMI device type?

If you're only using your TV speakers, change the setting on the left to TV Speakers. If you're using headphones, choose the headphones option.
Yeah trying to use TV speakers. On the left it has the option to set up 3D audio for tv speakers that’s all I’m seeing is that what you’re referring to?

Part of the screen is cut off, but it says TV Speakers and Headphones. You should be able to choose TV Speakers to output your audio there.
I set up the 3D audio for tv speakers and magically it started working. So weird. Thanks for the suggestions though I’m stoked we found the fix!
