Marking as solution only for visibility. We are currently looking into this issue.
Hi everyone,
I wanted to drop in here and let you know that we've been looking into the issue that can sometimes prevent you from snapping the ball.
Update: from our testing it looks like this situation may happen when you flick up on the right stick while holding R2/RT. If you can avoid this specific input combo, it may help prevent this from happening while we work on getting this fixed.
We were hoping you could help us out by sharing more info on what happened when you ran into the issue. This will help us better look into what might be causing this to happen. Please reply to this thread with as much of the following info as possible when you have the chance:
- Which game mode were you playing when this happened?
- Which Playbook were you using at the time?
- What type of Play were you running?
- Which team were you using?
- What part of the game were you in when it happened?
- Were you running No Huddle?
- Did you call an audible before trying to snap the ball?
- Are there any other details you can think of that might help?
We did hear about a potential workaround that might help in the meantime. If you run into the same situation again, give this a shot:
If you're on Xbox, press LB+RSB. If you're on PlayStation, press L1+R3. This should open up the Pass Protection menu, which you can then close by hitting RSB/R3 again. Changing the Line Protection may also help.
We've seen some people mention they were able to snap the ball after that.
Also worth noting, if you're holding X or Square to Turbo, you may not be able to dismiss the panel with RSB/R3. If you call a different play or run the previous play, you should be able to get past this.
Thank you for bearing with us while we're investigating this!
