Fair catch on onside kick

I went to kick an onside kick after scoring late, down one score. I did a high kick, which would be kicked and bounce high off the ground. The receiving team player dropped the ball and my team recovered. A flag was thrown for fair catch interference, which is not even a thing in real life. A player cannot call fair catch when the ball hits the ground on a kick. Because of this bug, I didn’t have a chance to come back after recovering the ball. This issue should be resolved in the game.
