Open Practice Not Available During Bye Week

This might not be a bug but it is definitely an annoyance.  I play in a multi team online dynasty and while waiting for others to play, I like to go into free practice to stay sharp on running plays.  But when my team is on a bye week, the Free Practice option is not available to select under the Team menu.  Any reason why Free Practice would be blocked during a bye week?  Just seems really odd.  It was like that in CFB 25 as well and never understood why.
