Playing Style for a recruit

Has anyone encountered play style issues with recruits? When I go to my school and look at the type of player the recruit is ie. Raw Strength for a C, the grade  requirement is very high, yet, the grade for the player is a C-  I’ve been locked out of several recruits that I have the lead in because of this issue. Any guidance would be helpful.
