Schedule bug starting in season 2?

I thought this was just went I created custom conferences, but I just simmed an entire season without changing any settings and it appears that beginning in season 2 of dynasty that there is one less week in the season. 

I noticed I had one less bye week and then there is only 15 weeks in the season now as opposed to the 16 in the first season of a dynasty. The army-navy game is now week 14 and the conference championships are played in week 15.
