Re: EA Sports College Football 27 Features Feedback

The upgrades from 25 to 26 are nice, thank you. However for 27 and potentially beyond, can we finally get the Senior Bowl and Pro Days on campus to help with draft stock and ultimately our pro potential ranking? How about being able to decline a contract offer from our current school to become a free agent coach? (Make simulators stop at the point of the contract offer automatically so everyone has to manually decide). Make contracts for top 4-5 star programs harder to fulfill such as making it a requirement to win a national championship within the duration of the contract or be fired. I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys the challenge of taking a 1 star team and making them into a national contender.. make it easier for higher prestige coaches to get offers from 1 star schools or at least if you're able to decline a contract extension and become a free agent coach, open up the possibility of going to any prestige school with interest in you. Also, adding in a level of team chemistry would be good.. are players upset about playing time?.. perhaps they can threaten to transfer.. academics.. are players keeping up grades to remain eligible - add in an allotment of time for "study" to raise players grades. If the grades go low, the player is unavailable for the next game. Finally, in the transfer portal for top players, make it so that schools can offer NIL deals to attract and compete with other schools for those top prospects. Thank you!!

PLEASE!!!  If youre going to allow us add custom teams into our dynasty mode, dont give a LIMIT on controllable teams.... on NCAA CFB 14 I could add multiple FCS teams into the dynasty and play games week to week for EACH of them but nowadays where technology is supposed to be better, if I control 1 created team, its the ONLY team I can use, its dumb & annoying.  Im not an online player but if something was available like what I described over a decade ago, yall should be able to STILL make that available in today's generation of college football, PLEASE!!!  Thanks

    Polar_Puddles Hey!

Appreciate you putting all of this together. I enjoy the detailed posts because they add depth to what you want and make the thread more engaging. So, I broke the post down a bit.

The Senior Bowl, Pro Days, and draft stock side of it would add A LOT to Road to Glory, and I like the contract ideas. Being able to decline an extension, go free agent coach, and actually chase a new challenge instead of getting locked into the same path would make that whole coaching flow way more interesting. I only did the Coach thing once, to test it out, and I would love to see this play out more.

The team chemistry, grades, transfer threats, and NIL deals in the transfer portal make sense, too, because that kind of stuff could make Dynasty feel a lot deeper from year to year. 4 and 5-star jobs needing tougher contract goals are a good one as well. If those jobs came with real pressure and the smaller school rebuild path stayed open, the climb would feel much better.

We’ll pass along the feedback to the team for you. I have a bunch of threads to the side I am going through right now, so there is a lot to gather and collab before sending it off.

Would like to hear what others have to say, too. I wish I could @ all 😂 We would get a thread poppin' off quickly.

I completely agree. At the moment, the "coaching carousel" feels more like a lifetime contract than a real threat to your job. If you’re at a top-tier program and miss the Playoff for a couple of years, you should immediately be on the hot seat to match the standards of the position.

The NIL point is spot on, too. We definitely need an NIL "pool" system. If you spend your budget on one superstar transfer, it should realistically limit who else you can bring in—forcing you to decide if you're better off with a 3-star QB and solid depth elsewhere.

Also, the need to recruit your current players throughout the season is a huge miss in Dynasty right now; it’s such a massive part of the modern game. Adding Pro Days and the Senior Bowl would be the perfect finishing touch giving you the chance to actually work a projected 2nd-rounder into a 1st-rounder to boost your school's pro grade. All great points.

I love everything you said the only thing I wish they would add is more uniform options for schools. Like Oregon always has like 20 uniforms and some other schools have a good amount as well. I’m a born and die hard Mississippi State fan and while it is crazy fun to have college football back for going on it’s 3rd year now and it’s fun to be able to play as MS state in their updated Davis Wade Stadium. I remember playing NCAA 14 when they still had bleachers in the end zone instead of a complete stadium. The only complaint I have is the uniforms. MS State has gone all out in the past for Egg Bowl uniforms especially and I’d love to see some of theirs as well as other teams alternate uniforms added. Playing a dynasty season after season with the same 3 uniforms is fun but still I got to a point after rebuilding state to a top contender each year and their like a 99 overall then it’s kind of like okay this is just the same game over and over. I think changing the uniforms at least could give a fresh aesthetic each game. To atleast make it visually different.

Import draft classes from College Football 27 to Madden

This is a MUST! And will GUARANTEE huge “PRESALES!” It’s actually quite simple. I understand NFL licensing and college NIL, but if the import draft class college players are computer generated and they have no ties to NIL. After 5 season of college football “27” dynasty mode, ALL of the players on each team’s  roster are computer generated. Thus no ties to NIL, thus should be eligible to import into Madden “27.” This one small but huge change is what ALL Madden franchise players want and need! To announce something like this will increase pre sale to possibly record sale. Please consider this one major change.

    LBC2018 Hey,

Thanks for dropping this in. I get why importing draft classes from College Football 27 to Madden 27 is such a big ask, especially for Franchise players who want that full college-to-pro pipeline to feel connected. Franchise is a huge mode. You cannot deny that one.

Your point about computer-generated players after several Dynasty seasons makes sense, and I’ll add this to the list around draft classes and Franchise carryover. No promises anything will change, but I definitely understand why this matters so much to folks who play both games. I see it being brought up all the time, so I know how important it is for players.

EA_Shepard For me personally I am just a casual CFB player but enjoy it very much. I have 3 asks for CFB 27, the first being add TE and DE to RTG!! The second would be if I choose a coordinator in dynasty I only have to recruit that side of the ball the cpu can take care of the other side. Head coach giving hints in ways to land diamonds and potential stars. Lastly I want more customization for my Coach shoes hair style etc.

A_NIGHT_HAWK_B I like where your head is at with these. TE and DE in Road to Glory would give that mode a different feel, especially for folks who want something outside of the usual QB/RB/WR type paths.

For Dynasty, I’m curious how you’d want the coordinator recruiting split to work. Would you prefer full CPU control on the other side of the ball, or an optional assist where you can still jump in when you want? Also, for coach customization, are you mainly looking for more visual options like shoes and hairstyles, or would you also want deeper sideline gear, like hats, polos, hoodies, and team-branded outfits?

almsenior2992 Having Davis Wade Stadium updated is awesome, but I get how running Dynasty season after season with the same few uniform options can start to feel repetitive once you’ve built MS State into a contender. The Egg Bowl uniforms, alternates, throwbacks, and school-specific looks are exactly the kind of details that can make each season feel a little fresher visually.

A_NIGHT_HAWK_B Oh! That got me thinking. What would that look like on your end? So correct me if I am wrong here, but we are talking about things like:

    • More sideline clothing options for created coaches
    • Shoes, hats, polos, hoodies, jackets, headsets, team-branded gear, etc.
    • More visual variety for head coaches/coordinators during Dynasty games
    • Optional customization, meaning players who care about it can use it, but it would not need to affect gameplay

Dynamic Toughest places to Play would be a good addition as well. Seems we use to have this back in the day.

Sounds about right! Was very fun trying to increase your grade, we use to also be able to see average capacity and that would go up and down as well.

In a lot of way it was ahead of its time! I believe it was the introduction to the Time recruiting system? Could be wrong.

KnocksvilleTN If memory serves, Toughest Places to Play was introduced with NCAA Football 2005 as part of the game’s home-field advantage focus. I found This Article on it. That was so long ago, lol. I could be wrong.

I was referencing the recruiting system we have now i think NCAA 14 was the introduction to that. I definitely remember toughest places to play being a feature for a very long time! 2005 seems right? Like you said it's so long ago.

Speaking of old games you can kinda do this now by locking a player, but on 09 I believe you could press like L1 on a offensive lineman and block for your running back or QB, at least something along those lines was a very cool feature. I could talk for a while about these things im sure your mentions are going up enough already haha.

KnocksvilleTN I remember 09 had offensive line adjustment controls like Slide Protection at the line of scrimmage, but how much control you had, I cannot remember. I could be misremembering, but I feel like it was to someone who didn't have possession of the ball or something like that.
