Realistic Recruiting
After reading the Dynasty Deep Dive, it’s clear there was a lot of thought put into recruiting—but one of my biggest frustrations in College Football 25 is how elite programs like Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, and Miami tend to hoard all the 4-star recruits. I’ve seen multiple instances where these schools end up with 9 or 10 quarterbacks on their rosters at once.
I’m hoping the transfer portal and the new playing time grades help fix this. Right now, any time a high-profile player hits the portal, they almost always land at one of those same few powerhouse schools. Mid-level Power 5 programs don’t even offer—or if they do, it’s like they’re not seriously in the mix. A former 4-star QB will transfer and end up buried on Georgia’s depth chart as a senior instead of starting somewhere like Washington State or Wake Forest. It just doesn’t feel realistic.
Same thing happens in high school recruiting. Some of these top QBs sit with zero offers for most of the cycle while the more “realistic” schools that should be recruiting them never even try.
Would smarter AI logic here increase parity across the board? Is this something that’s expected to be improved in CFB 26?
