Recruiting & Personality

Was thinking of a way to bring players to life and make recruiting and player actions more dynamic.  This is what I came up with:

Recruiting begins from the start of the Junior Year –

Each recruit needs a Birthday/Age This gives you options:

Early Enrollees – Can participate in spring and get an early boost

Reclassifying – Can decide to graduate and commit a year early (higher potential rating)

Older Prospects - Prospects not qualifying (low GPA) or wanting to improve their offers by attending Prep School JUCO. Player can come back a year older with improved attributes. This can however lower the potential rating and the window of improving physical traits later in career.

Three (3) separate recruiting bodies – And one composite rating as an average of all 3

We can base them on different categories:

Physical – Height weight speed strength

Performance in Camps 7 on 7, Elite 11, Rivals Series

High School Film – Production and stats that catch scout’s eyes

We need personality categories that can tie into the current systems:

Bookworm - A player with this trait is more than likely going to graduate in 3 years and can become a GRAD Transfer – Academic prestige is #1 on the list

Jock – Pro Potential is #1 here. Based on the last 4/5 years how many players were drafted to the pros. Will attempt to declare ASAP

Hollywood – Television Exposer National TV games here also to tie into NIL Deals

Adrenaline Junkie – Stadium Atmosphere attracts this type of recruit

Social Media Influencer – Other players are attracted to playing with this type of player – players in the portal gravitate towards this personality

Hometown Hero – This player will not leave the state or withing 200 miles of hometown.

Prodigy – Tagged at a young age to be elite prospect. Generational talent. 85+ overall as a true freshman all but guaranteed

Winner – Influenced Conference and National Championships last 5 years plus current roster strength. Player will transfer/not sign if program is not in line to win a Natty

Competitor – Depth Chart does not have to be ideal for this player to commit to the roster

Gym Junkie – Athletic Facilities are #1 on his list

Student of the Game – Conference Prestige

Legacy Chaser – School prestige and individual awards obtained in the last 5 years catch this prospects eye

Balanced – Recruit is looking for coach stability – attaches to a coach where he moves to

Entrepreneur – This is the recruits that looks for the biggest bag; will hop around the portal for the best deal/NIL connection
