lol still at this nonsense
EA isn’t “complicit” in anything here — they’re reflecting the reality of college football. There are no female head coaches or coordinators at the FBS level, and this game is marketed as a simulation of that level. Including female head coaches right now wouldn’t be representation — it’d be rewriting reality.
You keep saying “there’s no real reason not to” — but that’s not true. The reason is authenticity. If the game is supposed to simulate the sport as it actually exists, then sticking to real-world structures is the reason. Wanting to see yourself in the game is fine, but that doesn’t mean the product is “excluding people.” It means it’s holding to its own premise: realism.
And let’s not pretend this is some widespread demand. Outside of this thread, there’s no groundswell of players begging for this. The overwhelming majority of players are asking for things like:
A stable version across all platforms.
True physics that feel like real football.
Smarter AI with real play recognition and schemes.
Dynasty recruiting that actually matters.
Core football mechanics that aren’t broken.
That’s the community’s voice — not a niche cosmetic option that doesn’t even reflect the sport being simulated.
At the end of the day, you can keep bumping this thread, but calling EA “complicit” for not rewriting reality is absurd. If that’s the hill you want to keep climbing, fine — but don’t confuse your niche ask with what the actual player base wants or what this game was built to represent.
The reality is, it’s just you keeping this alive. If it helps you sleep at night to think you’re fighting some progressive battle in a football video game thread, that’s your choice — but let’s not kid ourselves. It’s not progress, it’s just noise.”**
