Academics is very unrealistic

I dedicate at least 3 of my 6/7 weekly energy points to Academics, and I'll get it all the way up to a 3.6/3.8.  Then exam time hits and I get C's or D's, my GPA plummets and I have "fail" on academics.  Then I have to spend even more to get it back to where I'm eligible.  This is also after I choose whatever prompts I get to say "study for this exam/project/etc" that also take away energy points.

This needs to be fixed.

Suggestions:  make small drops unless the player NEVER spends any time in academics--to which make the plummet.  But if the player spends time in academics, at least let it go up around exam time.

Also, 6 or 7 energy points is very low considering you have 5 areas to work on, which a few of them start off using 2 energy points.  That's WAY too difficult to maintain and is not realistic.  Minimally it should be 8 with a few 10s sprinkled in.

Agree with everyone here!  I had a great time with RTG in CFB 25 but if they don’t fix this I can promise I’m not buying next years game.  RTG is ridiculous in CFB 26.

  • It's literally a waste of time because you can't even graduate early. There is a bug that even with the required 3.8 GPA. You don't even graduate early. RTG is all about development and it's ruined by not even having the basics to the game mode be functional. Not to mention some of the bigger NIL deals don't even give you the skill points they promise

This stuff actually ruined my playthrough. I redshirted freshman year, got a 3.7 or above every year so that I can graduate as a redahirt junior and get two years of eligability without worrying about gpa. Well, after three year of dumping excessive amounts into academics, I didnt get my early graduation. I sacrificed a ton of potential progression on my player to go hard in the last two. I just quit

Glad I’m not the only one. Ridiculous how much time you put into studying to still fail. You think players in real life at big programs are spending most their energy studying!? Come on now.

I had a 4.0 going into final exam week only for it to advance and give me Ds and Fs. Can't get out of school early with the 3.7 due to this glitch. Feels like it's a wasted investment with these arbitrary swings.

  • Agree wholeheartedly. For me, it turns into hoping I can get a NIL or conversation boost to academics just enough that failing the midterms won’t get me suspended. It is **bleep** near impossible to effectively manage.

Same things been happening to me. Put 90% of my points into studying to get my GPA to a 3.6 just to fail every time I have midterms or finals and drop down into the 2s
