Defensive RTG is unplayable

The coach grade dropping is far too aggressive. This has been stated before, but this fix should be prioritized.

- No weighting on defensive grade drops
- I get -15 for a gain of 1 on 3rd and 9? Context matters. This isn't offset enough for "defensive stop"
- I don't get credit for PBUs for other defenders, but I get deducted if they allow a catch. Same for throw aways?
- Good / Great coverage is bugged. Appears randomly
- As stated, academics value per energy is not realistic

Considering we can adjust exp and sliders, just let us turn on/off the grades. I just want to play without playing 1 drive per quarter before I get dropped.

I don't necessarily think this is "skill issue". I think it's unfair to penalize an individual player for a defensive unit. The joy of this game comes from being hercules on a bad squad, but that's impossible if my 64 edge defender can't set the edge while I'm playing cornerback on the opposite side.

Bro yes! My teams 78ovr offense was held to 9 by a 59ovr defense. We won because I helped hold the opposing team to 3. Still got benched too🤣

not to mention I'm on UT, we've held the opp to 3 points in the 4th quarter, but my '88 ovr' offense can't score????

  • Yea I don't think they tested the defensive side of RTG. It's such a miserable experience. I just want to play the game without having to worry about me being absolutely perfect on every down, and having to worry about the randomness of the rest of the defense. Adjustment of coach trust values needs to happen. Also, forcing the QB to throw away the ball should gain trust. Defense had lock down cocerage and forced a wasted down. That should be a postive outlook on the coach

  • I’m with you all the way. Seems like EA really shot themselves in the foot on this when when they didn’t have to.

I quit my CB and rolled a linebacker because I won a natty and transferred to Jax State and was starting every game with C- or D+ from the first snap. Basically guarantees you're off the field by 3rd down. Linebacker seemed just as frustrating for all the same reasons.

Agreed. Playing on a small school is simply not an option if you want to enjoy any aspect of gameplay. Maybe if you blitz every time you can keep your grade afloat with "Teammate Sack" but god forbid the quarterback falls forward for 1 yard, then it's another -15.

  • Playing as an OLB and trying to actually get picked to a lower ranked school. I breezed through HS and ended up the 20th ranked prospect. Got offers from a ton of power 4 schools, but I chose UCONN. I'm losing trust left and right because the other players on D are terrible. Had a pass play where I covered the flat. QB throws a 70 yard TD to the opposite side of the field on a Go route that the DB didn't cover. I was no where near the play and lost 100 trust. Some re-balancing seems to be in order.

  • Just left a post about this for CB RTG, so far playing almost 200 snaps less than I should…only work around I have is to quit and restart the game and hope we get a string of stops to start the game

HB is pretty bad too. Just made a post about it. 95% of plays offered are run plays on down and long situations. They definitely have some fine tuning to do.
