Appropriate tier matching.
I keep getting matched with tier 1 teams. I play with tier 3 UCLA and recently online matching is having issues. After 15 seconds I get matched with tier 1. I would wait longer to play same tier team.

The fact you mentioned you searched for a tier 5 and played a tier 3 is the point he is making.
Now imagine if you are grinding thru say games 4 through 8 in your season and you've had a close lose to say LSU already. Now you seach for your "cupcake" game, look for a tier 4 or 5 and bam.....Welcome to Tuscaloosa(Bama) or Happy Valley(Penn State).
This mode like all is a grind but **bleep** I shouldn't have to fight against the matchmaking AND some kid spamming the same plays on offense and mid blitz on D.
I haven't had this problem. I set it to Tier 5 and then it searches for a while and I usually play against tier 3. I always play as a tier 3 team.
This has been a issues since launch.. In Road to CFP it seems like all we are getting matched up with is SEC teams, Ohio State, Penn State and a random cupcake game.
I have said it multiple team, there is no way everyone is the mode is using the same 8 to 10 teams. No one is using ND, or Michigan State, or North Carolina or UCLA?
It doesnt matter what tier you select, you will probably get a SEC team
