Defensively the game and players are just blowing coverages zone match principals is completely off, cvr 4 qrts is guarding like palms cvr 3 match defender won’t properly switch to the drag routes when passing off . Wide open players stopping example out of spread I will scheme open my rb to beat cvr 4 qrts and wide open im controlling him and he stops

4 qrts & cover 6 play the same but in cvr 6 it’s half of cv4 qrts and cover 2
cvr 4 palms - cvr 9 plays like palms to the palms side and cover 2 to the half’s side
Cvr 3 match has different variations like buzz which a safety replaces as a hook to curl and cvr 3 blitzs and the hooks are 3 recs, 3 recs will play to the strong side and take away the first route come from that side
but yes depending how far down the field a WR runs a specific zone will stick to him

I'm new to the Zone Match concept. My understanding is that the players line up like they are in zone, but when someone crosses through their area, they cover him man-to-man. Is that correct? I'd be interested in discussing what exactly the Zone Match principles are supposed to be.
This version has real issues. I just uninstalled the game. I consider myself a decent competitive player. Blown coverages, usering a defender is slower, lag, kicking field goals is impossible during away games. Stadium pulse being so overpowered makes the game one sided. Defenders do not play zone assignments. Onside kick exploit is a problem as well. I could honestly go on and on. Disappointing to say the least. Top tier guys are cherry picking teams and opponents by backing out of matchups. I logged a ton of hours on last year’s game. It’s the better game right now.
I have a 92 overall defense and I get blown zone coverage at least twice a game. Defensively I literally can't stop anyone. I actually gave up trying to play D one game. There's no point. Heading back to 25 until the first major update.
