Advanced Look Not Working Properly

I just started a dynasty with a recruiter archetype coach, and the first abilities I bought were the advanced looks for every position group besides K/P to cut down on scouting cost. However, the only groups that seem to be giving me a discount are the offensive skill groups. OL and the entire defense still takes 50 hours per recruit to fully scout. This issue is making recruiting borderline impossible at a school with a budget of 500 hrs a week. Am I missing something or is this a bug that needs patching?
