An Open Letter, re: NCAA Football 26
Dear EA, I'm writing this after my 35th+ attempt to complete a single game in NCAA Football 26. I've tried everything - different teams, game modes, saved files - and yet, every single time, the game crashes during gameplay. I am one of THOUSANDS experiencing this issue. For me, the pattern is consistent: the crash always occurs during a deadball situation - timeouts, between quarters, or after a play ends. Not once has it crashed mid-play. One time I was able to get deep into the third quarter, but I had to simulate the rest of the game just to avoid another crash. I’m convinced if I hadn’t simmed, it would’ve crashed again. In Year 2 of my offline Dynasty, after 19 attempts, I'm finally 1-0. 15 attempts later, and I'm still 1-0 because I cannot get through my second game of the season. Year 1 went completely smooth. During the offseason, I brought in 25 high school players and 10 transfers. As an invested fan of the game, I spent hours changing the names and gear of every single high school commit (I never touch attributes). Gameplay outside of the on-field experience has been solid, with no major issues. However, the core of the game is PLAYING THE GAME! And it's clear the gameplay is broken and no one is communicating any solution on how to fix it. Let me be very clear: I bought this game to play it, not sim my way through seasons. Right now, I physically cannot finish a game. EA_Kent and any other EA representatives: You owe the community a direct response. This is a widespread issue. I see others reporting it. And still - it's radio silence. It’s disrespectful to the loyal fans who waited over a decade for this franchise to return, to those of us who pre-ordered it before the 2026 release, and to those of us who spend their hard earned money on a product that they cannot enjoy. This matter deserves regular updates! This matter deserves information! This matter deserves an apology! And I even believe this matter deserves some type of compensation (gamer points, a discount towards a future purchase, something). Trust is broken with one of the most passionate fanbases in sports gaming and the lack of information and is incredibly frustrating. I'm not asking for the impossible. I'm asking for transparency, accountability, and a timeline for fixes. Acknowledge the issue. Communicate your progress. And please-don’t gaslight our community by pretending this isn’t a real and repeated problem. We paid full price for this game. At a minimum, we deserve the ability to play it. EA, fix this. And talk to us. -A Fed Up Fan.Custom Playbooks not showing certain formations and plays
There seems to be a serious issue in CFB 26 with some formations and plays not showing up with my custom created playbook when I go to use it in game. Sometimes only a few, out of all, the plays I’ve selected for a formation will show up, or entire formations will be missing from the playbook. I made sure I haven’t exceeded the allowed amount of formations, sets, plays in set or play count. Even when I go in and un-add then re-add certain plays they won’t show up. It’s gotten pretty frustrating when I’m trying to audible to a certain play or find one for a specific situation and it won’t show up when I know I’ve added it/set the audible for that play in the formation. In addition I can’t set my favorites because half of those plays won’t show up. I even went into my custom playbook and took out about 150 plays and 10 sets to see if over crowding the playbook was the issue and even with this, formations and plays wouldn’t show up. I’ve tried about everything possible at this point but it’s definitely a big issue affecting gameplay. Hopefully EA fixes this since it literally affects every play ran which is about 80-90% of gameplay. My game was having issues for the first three months of the game. I could not get out of the first quarter of any game without the game crashing. I primarily play an online dynasty with my friends and so I’d try a few times after every update and it finally worked. Since mid September it’s been working ok and we are in season three of our dynasty.y friends have had different issues since the last update, but today I tried playing my game and crashed three times in a row. First was before halftime, second was with 1:20 left in the game and it was a HARD crash! And finally gave up in the third when it crashed during the third to fourth quarter transition. once again it is only College football and Madden that have this problem. I play med red dead redemption and age of mythology after the first crash and was playing Fortnite before the first crash… all those games ran fine and my Xbox was/is not hot so it didn’t overheat. Hard crashes in menu and had it crash in play now right on the intro. This has happened since last College football 25, I am on an Xbox Series X. [CM - updating thread title and tags for clarity and visibility] update- issue still exists but what worked for me was trading in Xbox Series X I had gotten last year for an Xbox Series S haven’t had any crashes personally could be something with certain years of Manufacturer of Xbox Series X’s causing the crashes, my old console last year on CFB25 crashed even after the supposed fix, I hope this helps for people not getting any traction from EA, I know it’s not ideal but my faith in an actual fix is probably lower than 0%.College Ncaa FB 26 problems playing other xbox players
Hey, I'm sure you are aware, but xbox players are having issues playing other users.. For theo asthma 24 hours, other players and myslef have not been able to play H2H or anything involving other users. It's a little frustratung when we spend money for Ultimate Team and cannot play. Thanks.Please just acknowledge us EA
Going on 24 hours now without being able to play an online game. Both ultimate team and road to cfp. And it seems others are having issues with multiple other game modes. PLEASE just change your servers status to show y’all are doing SOMETHING to fix this. The two attachments are what I’ve seen most. Either an endless wait or ‘Failed to start game’. It’s the weekend man :/
