Connection lost

Hello, I play CFB 26 ultimate team squads with two of my buddies all the time on the ps5. I recently just moved to Japan about two weeks ago for the military and was trying to figure out why I can play head to head(albeit it’s a little wait to find a match) but can’t play squads as it’ll lag when showing the top 3 cards for each team and then kick me out each time we try and play. Do i need to use a vpn or is there a latency issue because I can play games like call of duty and battlefield at no problem
