For me, it's all EA games won't work. BF6 beta was the same, NHL etc. Plus I run a 32 man dynasty and need to be online.
If it was only CFB and not other EA titles, I'd just move on.
My personal feeling is, there is something in the EA software and how their games draw power that causes the crashes and older systems Xbox or PS5 may have developed shorts in the power board that are more sensitive to how EA pulls power.
I was able to justify it as I'm retired and gaming is my hobby, while I have all platforms I prefer playing on Xbox and my Series X from launch was basically running 10 hours a day (while also being well taken care of and maintained). But I more than got my moneys worth out of it and getting a new one has value to me. But for the average user, there is no reason why they should ever feel the need to make that purchase.
