We were promised more realistic gameplay

I am an above average gamer when it comes to football, and I hate to even post a negative comment but this game is awful. We were promised more realistic gameplay and instead have gotten the same problems that existed in ‘25 & ‘26, but even more so when it comes to local gameplay. If I’m playing someone of lesser skill than me, we have always staggered the difficulty to reflect this discrepancy. For whatever reason, ‘27 has made this discrepancy nonexistent, to the point that against lesser difficulty opponents I can’t complete a pass or even run the ball for more than 2-3 years at a time, while my opponent (playing on Freshman/Varsity mode) can complete passes 50 yards downfield off their QBs back foot while getting taken down by a DE. Maybe it’s my fault for assuming that the game could adapt properly to the different settings, or maybe it adapts too well. But either way it’s an insane difference. Can’t beat anybody if your DBs have brick hands while your opponent only needs to have someone within 10 yards of your WR to break up a pass. Fix this. Can’t believe I’m spending $100 on this dumb game.

  • I can definitely understand the frustration here. The biggest issue seems to be the lack of consistency between difficulty settings, especially when passing, defensive reactions, and player control feel completely different from what the settings suggest. A game like this needs better balancing, accurate gameplay tracking, and clear information updates so skill differences actually matter. I also like systems that provide useful status updates and verification instead of leaving users guessing, which is something an LTO Tracker can help with in a completely different context. Hopefully the developers take this feedback seriously and improve the gameplay experience.
