Job offer logic
For context, I’ve been HC at Bowling Green for about 10 years. Have over 82% career winning percentage. In the last 3 years, have won 2 national championships and 1 runner-up (48-2 record). I’ve won like 7 conference championships in a row. I’ve gotten Bowling Green to a 4 star prestige, 90 overall team.
With that resume, it seems like I should be THE top HC candidate for any school in the country. But I don’t seem to get any job offers from the top programs.
I think the hiring logic needs to consider more than coach level and prestige. Getting a 0.5 star / 1 star to a 3-4 star should be something that is rewarded through job offers.
Also, maybe consider adding signing bonuses. That would be an interesting incentive. For example, getting like 250 coaching points for signing with Ohio State.
