I have done 3 EDGE playthroughs. Ended as 4 star once, 5 star twice in Heisman. Each time, I chose a school as a projected starter. Every time, I ended as a LEDGE 4, despite being the top EDGE overall and with coach trust higher than the other players. Also, I never got a position battle, so was last on the depth chart the entire freshman season.

I am currently on my 2nd year. I initially didnt have many problems, they started to arise near mid-season. So i didnt get the option to have a position battle until around week 7 maybe and i ended up having the exact same position battle 5 weeks in a row (i wish i was joking) and that was for REDG2 spot. Well after that debacle it was the start of the playoffs and i was prompted to go for REDG1 and i won that spot as well. So i was the starter for all of the playoff/bowl games at the end of my freshman season. The issue is now that i have started year 2, i am still considered to be a freshman (redshirt maybe??? but the game doesnt say if you are) we have now played 12 games and i havent played a single game since the national championship where i won the chip and got defensive player of the week. attached are screenshots from 5:20PM EST on 7/3/2026. this shouldnt be a problem when youre offering me early access. im expecting fully finished non buggy core mechanics of the game and i dont think its that crazy of an ask for how much you **bleep** get paid.

I’m having this issue as well. Stuck at LEDG 4. Higher overall and coach trust than 3 and 2, but no battle will prompt. I would also be the best REDG, but it doesn’t seem to register that either. Attached photos. Thanks
I don’t have screenshots but here’s my experience to answer your questions. Seems similar to the screenshots posted on this thread from others.
I tried three different times as EDGE. Schools I committed to and the same thing happened were MSU, Ball State, and Delaware. Each time after high school I was the highest rated player at the position, (low to mid 70s). My coach trust was higher than all the other players too, sometimes by upwards of 1500 higher. I would do all the practices each week, made sure to keep up on academics and training, etc. A position battle never triggered for the entire season. I always had to transfer and then I would start for the new school year 2.

EA this is a joke, wasted over half of my free trial time and your game is bugged for edge position, I’m the second highest overall on my team and I’m not even on the depth chart I’ve passed the LEDGE1 twice last season in coach trust and was never offered a position battle, over two seasons without a single second of playing time on the field. fix your game this is unacceptable.
