I have done 3 EDGE playthroughs. Ended as 4 star once, 5 star twice in Heisman. Each time, I chose a school as a projected starter. Every time, I ended as a LEDGE 4, despite being the top EDGE overall and with coach trust higher than the other players. Also, I never got a position battle, so was last on the depth chart the entire freshman season.

I'm on my third try and I've done everything my other builds work the game said I would start as the number 2 I started number 4 im now passed 3 and have gotten no chance to move up
My road to glory seems great but when I choose to be a left edge high school works like normal but when I get to college it wont allow me to move up the depth chart I've played multiple builds and multiple seasons I've tried to delete it and try again but I cant find a solution.

College Football 27 - Follow Up & Title Update July 16th, 2026
So I figured out how to bypass the edge depth chart issues that is plaguing RTG. Turn high school mode off when you start your RTG. From there when you sign, try and sign with a school that has you as a starter, for me it was Wyoming. I played my first season at Wyoming as the starter, was 4th in Bronko and Hendricks award. From there I was able to transfer pretty much wherever I wanted and landed at South Carolina as Edge 1. Since then the game has played normal. This is just a bypass though, fix the game already EA, we shouldn't have to do this. Also, these lineman block me like they're Johnathan Ogden while my teammates just run by their lineman. Get your stuff together man.
When playing RTG as an edge rusher, it does not allow you to have position battles to move up the depth chart. I transferred in the portal after freshman year, was a starter all sophomore year and then when I accepted to stay at the school for another year it took my from LEDGE1 to LEDGE5 and locked me out again.
Description of Bug:
I’m playing as an Edge Rusher in Road to Glory mode. Despite having a strong overall rating and good coach trust, I’m permanently stuck at the 4th position on the depth chart (LEDG4), regardless of my projected status or how the team promised I would be used going in.
I’ve seen multiple other players report the exact same issue on the forums, all stuck at 4th on the Edge depth chart no matter their overall rating, coach trust, or starter promises from schools. It seems to be a widespread bug specific to the Edge Rusher position.
Expected Behavior:
Depth chart position should reflect actual performance, overall rating, and coach trust/promised role, like it does for other positions.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an Edge Rusher in Road to Glory
2. Progress through practices and games, building overall and coach trust
3. Remain stuck at LEDG4 on the depth chart regardless of stats or promises
This is a significant issue since it locks players out of playing time and progression. Would appreciate an update on whether this is being actively worked on and when a fix might land. Thanks.
EA I sware if I finish another game on RTG and that **bleep** freezes after the game and doesn’t count my progress we are going to have some **bleep** issues this is bs fix you stupid game stop being lazy
Why am I a starter in year 1 then I return and/or transfer and I’m redg 4. This game is in big need of an update for lots of things. Bring back XP sliders. EA lowkey went horrible wrong with this game
