College Football 27 DirectX Error

Has anyone got this error? I tried a few solutions like clearing EA cache, updating GPU drivers, redownloading the game and EA anticheat. I was able to play the 10 hour trial with no errors, but of course once i buy the full game it wont launch..

It's definetly not a hardware issue i can play CS and this is the only game that doesn't work. I also tried to delete the Trial exe

If you generate and post your Dxdiag report here, we should be able to help with some troubleshooting. See the link for info on generating the file.

Thanks for that. Some troubleshooting steps:

    Clean install GPU drivers:

    • Boot into Safe Mode.
    • Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller).
    • Install the latest WHQL driver.
    • Do not import previous driver settings.

    Temporarily disable all gaming overlays:

    • EA Overlay
    • Steam Overlay
    • Discord Overlay
    • Xbox Game Bar
    • NVIDIA Overlay / AMD Overlay
    • MSI Afterburner + RTSS

Remove any GPU overclocking and run all settings/power/voltage at stock values

    Repair Windows files:

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    When that finishes: sfc /scannow

    EA app reinstall:

    • Uninstall the EA App.
    • Delete any remaining folders:
      • C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop
      • %ProgramData%\EA Desktop
      • %LocalAppData%\Electronic Arts
    • Restart the PC.
    • Install the latest EA App.

Repair game files: Repair Football 27 through the EA App - Manage -> Repair

That is a fair amount of troubleshooting. Try playing after completing each section so you do not have to perform unnecessary steps. Let us know how this process goes for you. Thank you. EA_Barry.

Doesn't seem like any of these steps have resolved my issue. Do you think a game update could potentially fix the issue im having? This is the only game im having problems with. FC26 runs completely normal and is also dx12.

EA_Barry Also any idea why the trial version worked completely fine and now the full version game is giving errors?

Possibly, cannot say for sure. The trial/beta and the full game are technically different games. If you want to, post a newly generated Dxdiag, and we can try more troubleshooting. EA_Barry.

  • Having the same issue, and have tried all the steps listed above. This is quite annoying.

  • Just fixed my issue, I have Victus laptop with Omen gaming hub software built in. I tried to use the windows system setting to force NCAA FB 27 to use my graphics card and that didn't work, along with everything else suggested above. I went into the Omen gaming hub software and there was a option to only use my NVIDIA GPU. I clicked that setting and that did the trick. Hope you find a solution as well.

That is good info for people with that laptop, thanks for posting. I will hold off on marking a solution, trying to help OP specifically. EA_Barry.
