Weird difficulty issues

I’ve noticed a strange issue with Dynasty mode. Whenever I increase the difficulty, it seems like my own players become significantly worse rather than the opposing AI becoming more intelligent.

My offensive linemen suddenly struggle to hold blocks, receivers drop passes they would normally catch, defensive backs lose awareness, and tackling becomes incredibly inconsistent.

I was under the impression that higher difficulties were supposed to make the CPU more challenging through better decision-making, play-calling, adjustments, and execution.

Instead, it almost feels like my players’ ratings are being artificially lowered to compensate for the CPU.

Is this an intentional difficulty mechanic, or is there a setting that allows my players to perform according to their actual ratings while still facing more intelligent opponents?

I’m genuinely curious because it’s becoming frustrating to play Dynasty when the difficulty feels less like improved competition and more like my own team’s abilities being handicapped.

No there is no option to have players play to their ratings while having smarter AI. EA has said All-American is where ratings matter most once you go to Heisman the CPU gets boost to provide a challenge. But to me in this years game ratings don't matter like they did in the previous two games. The most noticeable is receiver versus defensive back interactions. You will have a step or two on a db throw the ball to the receiver and you can see them slow down allowing the db to catch up.

I have been playing on All-American only so can't say if my team becomes less intelligent when upping the difficulty. Two things standout though, CPU holding on to contested catches more than the user and offside penalties on the user. The CPU has a better chance to getting the d-line to jump than the user does.
