Xbox College Football 27 hangs on load screen if disconnected from Xbox network

I purchased the MVP+ membership on Xbox to get College Football 27 and Madden 27 with early access. While CFB27 worked fine initially, I started getting the “EA Trial Error” that prevented me from playing.

Based on a suggestion from that thread, I installed the trial version over the existing version and I was able to play. After that, the game icon showed a “Trial” banner, which disappeared following a gameplay update today, and it now shows in Owned Games (it didn’t previously).

However, my game will still not play when disconnected from the Xbox network (it seems to just freeze on the loading screen). Can this be fixed?
