Serious Concerns Regarding Gameplay Balance and Competitive Integrity

To the EA College Football Development Team,

I'm writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the current state of College Football 27, particularly the competitive experience in Ultimate Team.

One of my biggest concerns is the continued abuse of glitch plays and exploitable offensive strategies. Too many opponents repeatedly run the same plays, taking advantage of weaknesses in the game's mechanics rather than demonstrating genuine football knowledge, creativity, or skill. When players can repeatedly exploit the same plays without meaningful consequences, it takes the enjoyment out of the game and undermines the competitive experience.

I strongly believe EA needs to implement a play cooldown system that prevents players from repeatedly calling the same plays throughout a game. This would encourage offensive variety, require players to develop actual strategies, and create a more balanced competitive environment on both sides of the ball. Defense should be rewarded for recognizing tendencies and making adjustments, not forced to defend the same exploitable play over and over again.

Another major concern is the current state of competitive play. It increasingly feels as though being considered a top player is less about football knowledge, adaptability, and skill, and more about having the most expensive roster and knowing which exploitable plays to abuse. Players who spend the most money can gain significant roster advantages, while others rely on exploiting game mechanics to compensate. That is not what a truly competitive environment should look like.

A competitive game should reward skill, preparation, decision-making, and the ability to adjust. It should not reward repetitive exploits or create the impression that financial investment and abusing broken mechanics are more important than actual gameplay ability.

I understand that no game will ever be perfectly balanced, but these issues need to be taken seriously. A play cooldown system, meaningful gameplay balancing, and greater attention to competitive integrity would go a long way toward restoring the enjoyment of the game.

I want to enjoy College Football 27. I want challenging games where both players have to think, adjust, and compete. I want wins to feel earned and losses to feel like opportunities to improve—not the result of facing the same glitch plays repeatedly.

Please take this feedback seriously and consider making the necessary changes. The community deserves a game where competition is determined by skill and strategy, not exploits.

Sincerely,

A frustrated but invested College Football 27 player
