Love my drones. They are irreplaceable. I've stolen countless games with their speed getting on to pads. I also shred shockwave, chem, regular infantry, snipers, flame, and machine gun crews with them.
Dogs and any other unit that doesn't have rockets can't kick them off the pad.

Seriously? I don’t think I have EVER lost to someone that used drones before. Like never. But then again, my GDI deck has Pitbulls and APC’s (and also Wolverine and Sandstorm, but I rarely build Tech when I’m GDI) and my NOD deck has Laser Troopers, Banshee and Widowmakers. So drones are pretty useless against me.
And im not saying that like I’m super good and no one can beat me. Not saying that at all. In fact, I feel I’m very middle of the road. But drones get owned. They truly just suck. In my opinion that is.

I'm not god either but I hit masters using them.

But for like.... 10 tib more you can use the Talon - better anti infantry. Is equally deadly at 1 hp has full (unlike drones). Can actually take down other air - though you have to 2 on banshees and certainly the anti-air-air (lol).
Drones are, maybe, a little better verse Pitbulls and the like - they take 4 shots no matter what, it's just not that worth it.
Talon also got a little buff recently.
I run agro on GDI with just the Talon for air - ifn'n and when'n I need it. It ain't no banshee... but for 30 tib it does the job.
Plus I have a collection of screen shots of holding pads with Talons verse Avatars - it's just hilarious.
