@Artriedes I remember Tiberium Wars, units will prioritize correct target over wrong targets exactly as told in the intelligence report. But won't switch target if already engaging.
This one doesn't and yes... your mammoth tank would attack your talon, but you need to observe how the coding works.
Units will attack as soon as it's in the line of fire, so when you put a mammoth tank and have the turret facing riflemen while a predator is at your mammoth's right flank. The mammoth will attack the riflemen because it's requires less time for its turret to turn and fire.
So... approach your mammoth from the right direction, make sure its turret is facing the predator already so the auto-attack will set the target on the predator, otherwise... it will attack the riflemen and you need to manually order your mammoth to attack.
About mammoth rocket pods, you're going to screw with the tradition of command and conquer, removing the rocket pods from the mammoth tank will ruin its identity as a mammoth tank, because mammoth tank WILL ALWAYS have rocket pods for AA, and believe me... their AA firepower were scary, you should be happy they made it weak in Rivals, another workaround is to make the rockets effective against vehicles but can't target aircraft.
If you know how the game works, you know what you're doing and you are aware of what's gonna' happen next and act upon it.

Well, it doesn't seem to line in with the avatar, who can't attack air units. Maybe a single laser soldier should be docked on the avatar to give it an ability to fight back weak units like talon, venom, drone swarm and laser drones. I think the mammoth's ability to shoot air is Ok, but makes it more flexible than the avatar, who can't even fight back a banshee.
- 7 years ago@EinarThePillager If you wish to add rocket pods to avatar... well... i can agree with that too, there is was a unit in kane's wrath called the redeemer which is an overpowered version of avatar, you can install rocket pods there.
So a shoulder-mounted rocket pods on the avatar could work. But as terrible as mammoth tank's rocket pods.- EinarThePillager7 years agoSeasoned Ace
Speaking of mammoths vs avatars, I want to point out that chem buggies are inferior compared to shatterers. Either the chem buggy needs a buff or the shatterer needs a nerf. Shatterers stun their infantry target as they attack, making it very dangerous to all sorts of infantry, from the simple laser squad, to the tough MG nest, to the buff grenadier and the hilarious fanatic.
No infantry stands a chance against a shatterer if its in its defensive (and perhaps boosted) state. Zone and cyborgs fall to one, but would heavily scratch them. The stun needs to go or the stun must also be applied to chem buggies.
The stun part of the chem buggy is based on its chem spray... what difference does it have to the chem warrior? Its seems to be the same attack, you just simply merged a chem warrior and an attack buggy. The chem buggy's spray should actively stun one member of the squad and render them unable to attack. The chem warrior's attack should be ranged but reduced in damage. Kind of like a Nod sniper that hoses its foes at a distance with chem.
