Hey guys, I’m loading my game with the black screen fixes. I’ve gone ahead and inputed a new video width and height.
However, when I play a game, skirmish or campaign, the bottom bar with all the tools are gone. (like select all units of that particular object, pathways etc)
im trying to readjust the resolution, but I’m not sure if it’s the right thing to do.
would anyone be able to help?

Are you talking about Red Alert 2? Because, you never say, and there's a bunch of games in this collection...
for that game, I advise installing the CnCNet online play installer for RA2/YR. Even if you're not interested in online play, it comes with a bunch of automatic fixes. It should automatically take care of the "black screen" issue, and has a configuration tool that allows further tweaking of the game's settings.
If the tool doesn't fix it, you may need to open the settings of your graphics card to see if there are specific settings there to tweak how it handles the resolution you set.
Yes, I'm referring to Red Alert 2, specifically Yuri's Revenge (that's the one I was playing though I have the first one).
And maybe that makes some sense, because I had the online one and when I downloaded everything together, things were working and the bottom bar was displaying and all the other setting were working...
