ii cant change my username in the game,can you give me advice on how i can do so? if i link the app to my gmail account, will it save all my progress and restore it back when i download the game again?

I don't think that this is possible.

Yes. Once you have linked your current progress to a valid E-mail address, you can retrieve your progress on another device. After installing the app on the new device, you need to play through the tutorial I think and then you can link to your E-mail address again in the Settings menu. Then you will get the option to restore your previous state.
