C&C Red Alert iOS: Save Features

So, I own Red Alert Mobile for iOS (iPhone, specifically), and even though I'm on the latest iOS 9.3 (public beta), the game never saves my progress. I will complete a mission, close the app, and open the app later to find that I must start from the beginning. I know the game is discontinued, but is there something I'm missing here as to how the save function works? The app apparently still has some sort of internet connectivity since I was able to download the Rising Sun addon from the store for free.
