C&C: Yuri's Revenge crashes after launch

Hi again! I have a problem with C&C Yuri's Revenge, it crashes every time I launch it. Surprisingly, Red Alert 2 just launched fine and never crashed.

My first guess was that CnCNet for Yuri's Revenge is the cause of this crash, but if that true, Red Alert 2 should've also crashed like it. So there is likely something else.

    But the website link was www(dot)westwood(dot)com, not forums(dot)cncnet(dot)org.

    @AlienWeaver Huh, so wait, it doesn't say cncnet.org? Does that mean you didn't install the CnCNet launcher on it?

    @AlienWeaver Maybe the CnCNet people will know more, then. EA isn't going to give tech support for an unofficial patch, but the CnCNet team is very experienced with dealing with problems in these old games. They got a forum and a Discord server.

    @AlienWeaver The Origin version of the game is what everyone uses; all other versions out there have problems with CD/DVD copy protection DRM that no longer works.
