C&c zero hour lag

. I bought C&C Ultimate Edition from EA Games and downloaded the GenPatcher application. However, when playing against the computer in Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour, the game becomes extremely laggy and difficult after about 5 minutes. I checked online, lowered details in settings, and even set the replays file in the documents folder to "read-only," but it didn't help. GenPatcher also didn't do anything. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me with this issue.
