CnC Tiberian Twilight launches to black screen, Help center fixes have been tried
Hey all,
When I try to launch CnC 4, it just launches to a black screen, though the cursor does pop up for about 5 secs then it disappears. I've tried doing fixes that are in the help center, and couldn't find a similar problem in the forums.
I've been in 7 different Live chats with support, 2 of which disconnected randomly, and one just stopped responding, the others couldn't resolve it neither.
I'm using 2 monitors and I tried switching my primary monitor to the other one, which is 1600x900. It worked once, booted fine but to 800x900.
This isn't really a problem but I want to play the game on my 1080p monitor, also the above thing worked once only.
I've tried the following;
- Compatibility mode for Windows 7 and Windows XP Service Pack 3.
- Setting the Affinity mode for the process to 2 CPU cores only (although they seem to default back to all 6 cores when I relaunch the program, not sure if this is an issue)
- Disabling Firewall & Antivirus
- Deleting Temp folder
- Changing monitor res to 800x600
- Running as administrator.
- Repairing Game files
- More I can't think off, will add more when I think of them
A help person Jason discovered that there's errors with some games I have installed in my MSInfo, and suggests I do a system repair, but I can't do that because I don't have the original disc anymore.
Any help is greatly appriciated.
