Command & Conquer games won't start

Hi, I have a problem i can't start Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour and Red Alert Generals

i dig thrue internet and tryed a lot but nothink helps so ...

Any new advice or maybe some update for those games?

@Amanas_Drake If you have the Ultimate Collection, a workaround is available to get the CNC-games to launch till EA fixes the underlying issue: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultimate-Collection/Can-t-launch-C-amp-C-The-Ultimate-Collection-games-after-24-01/m-p/8716040#M17504

If you don't have the ultimate collection: what error are you getting. Please describe your problem in detail.

@alexs11987 Ok, good that it worked, but disabling that leaves people more vulnerable for exploits. So, I wouldn't advice it to people that quickly I think.

Whats the issue then if your game wont show anything on the screen but I can hear some sound going on in the background?

@spoonsnoodle22 That is a separate issue; please make a new topic in which you describe the problem in detail and also explain which CNC-game you're actually talking about haha.

I have what might be a similar issue... so far, while testing my various installed applicaitons, I have only seen it on one version, however.
In "Command and Conquer - Generals," the game launcher starts, and allows the game itself to start. I hear the "EA Games" video START to play, but it doesn't play all the way through, and I see only a black screen, with a bit of garbageflashing on it very briefly."
I tried setting my screen refresh rate down from its default 144 to 60... that often works in cases like this... but that didn't help.
The program continues to run in the background but the only way to fix things (so to speak) is to alt-tab out of the program and use "Process Explorer" to kill the game EXE.
