Command & Conquer Generals/Zero Hour Direct X 8.1 Error

Fine people of EA world, please help.

I launch C&C ZH through the EA App, only to get the Direct X error message come up.

I have installed the Direct X 9 as suggested in other posts.

Then I also looked for the infamous dbghelp/dbghelp.dll file that apparently causes this problem. Looking through my whole PC I can find the dbghelp.dll file in other C&C folders, there's 3x for C&C3 TW and KR, 2x for Red Alert 3/Uprising and NONE for C&C Generals/Zero Hour.

Where the AF is this file? What else can I do to launch the game?

I'm on a healthy Windows 11 laptop.
