Command & Conquer Renegade

Alright I have recently purchased the command & conquer ultimate collection and to my disadvantage of playing Renegade I can not adjust my screen resolution or any such thing.  It tells me I can not change settings while the game is running and need to run Renegade Configuration Utility.    The problem with your downloaded version of the game I spent money to purchase is I can not find this Renegade Configuration Utility.  Please Explain to me how to unadjusted my video settings for this game as it has a box in the middle of my screen at 800x600 and that does not allow for wide screen of my laptop as it would if I installed the game from the no logger existent game disc.

You have to run the configuration ultility in administrator mode for it so save changes.  Right click on WWConfig.exe->Properties->Compatability-> Tick "Run as Administrator."

ok i figured it out man, go to the properties on the game icon for renegade, then go to the tab labeled "shortcut"  click the button that says open file location at the bottom of the folder theres an icon for WWConfig open that as admin then you can mess with it. took me a while to figure it out but i found i thought i was going to have to find a  way to download the utility but it's there just takes some digging

settings still don't save even with being run as admin, the settings are stuck at 800x600 second from highest detail preset.  Any ideas?

  • Had the same problem, think i figured out how to fix. In the WWConfig file it needs to be set to always run as admin, like you have it, but also the RenegadeLauncher file ALSO has to have the always run as admin, as well as having DPI scaling turned off. Hope this works for you.

still hasn't worked for me any other ideas? even a copy of the sysinfo.txt would be helpful with maximized settings then we could bypass this issue.
