My suggestions, which you've probably tried are as follows:
As this happened suddenly, what changes were made to the computer just before the issue arose? Did the computer get an update for the OS or drivers for the video? If so, undo the changes and see if it solves the issue.
Try compatibility mode. Try reducing the screen resolution used.
If all else fails try EA help!!
