Unable to Play Zero Hour
I am unable to load my Challenge progress in Zero Hour - whenever I try to the loading screen comes up for the General vs General but then it immediately says "Defeated". I'm playing the game through the EA App and it's the full licensed version of the game (no cracks, illegal copies etc). I've never had an issue until went to play it today (save file is from 4 month ago), when the game closes I get a prompt that some files are corrupted and the app offers a repair. 5 times I've repaired so far and still it's a problem. I've already attempted the license key "fix" of adding the dashes into the default key under HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\ergc but that hasn't fixed it. I've also tried modifying my options.ini file as I've seen in places online but still no joy :-( EA doesn't seem to offer support for this title according to the list of games to raise issues with via their site so I'm hoping that someone can advise what is going on and how I can fix this...
Game destroying server issues
EA please can you fix the server issues blighting C&C remastered. There’s an awesome community that has grown up around it over the last few years and the fact no one can now play against each other is going to destroy it. Maybe 2 out of 10 multiplayer matches now actually start, and because of this it’s not worth playing any longer. Issues started about November. Thanks!
Red Alert 1 original game is stuck on the menu screen. No selection's
Hello, Red Alert 1 the original game is not able tos tart on windows 11. I own both games on EA App, Origin, and Steam. But for now, the version from EA app stops at the red alert screen. No intro, no cutscenes. Just right into the red alert menu where you are suppose to select, new mission, counterstrike and aftermath, are no where to see. It's almost like the background is only a picture. I will attach a picture. Is there any solution for this. I am running on windows 11 at the moment.
Can't Start the Game.
So this game was one of my favourites growing up. I suddenly remembered the game and downloaded it to play through the EA games app. INow the problem is that (after running the patch as well) the game doesn't start. Just the starting pop up screen shows and than Generals.exe is not responding. I would love your help if someone can tell me what I am doing wrong.. I have twice deleted and reinstalled but the same problem is persisting. Any help would be appreciated
C&C Servers Are Broken
This has been an ongoing issue for years, the servers that host Command and Conquer Remastered do not work well. A game might connect or might not. It might hang or not. As a community we have reported this for years. EA takes 0 action. I even went as far as to contact a very well known video game developer and he reached out to EA for me. Still, no action. I realize that old games do not receive the love they should and it frankly comes down to money and returns. Still, if you are going to host a game, try to give a **bleep**. Fix your servers. We paid money. We expect things to at least work 20% of the time.
