Well I'm not sure that this will help anyone but here goes:

    Running Windows 10 Home 64-bit

I had been playing C&C Generals and Zero Hour on Origin for a few weeks with no problems. Earlier today I decided to uninstall Microsoft Visual Studios as I wasn't developing with it anymore. When I finished uninstalling this app called Advanced System Care popped up a window telling me that there were some files leftover from the uninstall. I allowed it to gather the information and promptly deleted the files. From that point on I was encountering missing dll files when trying to launch origin and even restoring the deleted dll files didn't help. I eventually reinstalled MS Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 (both 32 and 64 bit versions as someone had suggested) which solved my dll file problems only to encounter the problems you all are experiencing with ergccopier.exe. I wish I could tell you I found some magic solution. I didn't. I found a restore point to right before I uninstalled Visual Studios and that fixed it.

I know this isn't a solution but perhaps the connection with Visual Sudios or the redistributable packages will help someone solve it.
