So i have the ultimate collection all of the c&c games work apart from generals and zero hour.
if i try to launch it from origin nothing happens i dont get the box to select which to play (generals or zero hour).
If i launch it from the desktop short cut created when it was installed it tells me that the generals.exe is missing.
I have deleted and reinstalled the game twice now, have also right clicked and repaired the game, checked for updates etc.

Ensure that your Firewall and/or Antivirus are not blocking the connection. The easiest way would be adding an exception for the Origin Client.
You need to do this add firewall/antivirus exceptions for Origin and open the needed ports http://help.ea.com/en/article/connection-issues-with-origin/#1
You need to perform a Clean Boot: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-clean-boot-yo
Run the setup file Origin with Admin rights http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/#2 and now start game from My Games tab.
