Command and Conquer Red Alert 2 and Command and Conquer Problems

                                                                    First Problem : Red Alert 2 (LAN Problem)

Hello. A few days ago, I bought the Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection. I was at my friend's house at the time, and we wanted to play on LAN. I pressed the "network" button, and without telling me why, it would go back to the main menu. It wouldn't even load up the network menu. I went to my network settings and under the network card tab (or whatever it's called), It said "IPX not avalible". It might be the computer i'm playing on (I haven't tried playing network mode on my desktop yet, I'm using a laptop ATM), or maybe network mode doesn't work on Origin... 

                                                                 Second Problem : Command and Conquer (Colour Problem)

My 2nd problem is that every thirty minutes (or maybe an hour, I'm having too much fun to have a sense of time), my computer randomly minimizes Command and Conquer. When I click on the icon to get back in game, The colors are messed up at certains places (Main menu isn't too bad, in-game is a bit worse, and cutscenes are almost impossible to understand what is going on). My current solution is to save and exit, turn off Origin, surf the web to entertain myself, then open Origin and go back in-game. I would rather have a more permanent solution though...
