C&Q Generals Zero Hour crashing at the end of China Mission 5

My game keeps crashing at the end of China Mission 5. It has happened to me before on other missions, but I just relaunch my game, and it works the second time usually. I have had two support cases with EA customer service, and both times the case was closed before they even fixed my issue. Before I contacted EA support, my game would crash after the last cutscene, so I did not receive the medal for completing the campaign. After following the second person's instructions, which was just clearing the cache, my game now crashes right when I destroy the last building. I attached a picture of the error message that pops up when I crash. For whatever reason, I can no longer contact support at help.ea via online chat, it just says, "Thank you for contacting us. We’d love to troubleshoot your issue and get you back in the game! To speed up that process, we need to talk to you on the phone." It doesn't even leave a number to call, but I'd rather use chat if possible.

  • @tinyterr0r101 Firstly, EA support isn't really good in helping you with these very old games. Just don't rely on that... I know it sucks, but it is just reality.

Also; crashes can happen with these old games and not so stable engine. I would advice to install Gentool. This can fix many compatability-issues, crashes and bugs. See: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Generals#Gentool Does using that fix your problem? Also disable any overlays (like Steam in-game, Origin in-game, Rivatuner etc.) to avoid stability issues.

Also, did you install any mods or modifications for the game? Are you using the old disk version or The Ultimate Collection? Which Windows-OS version are you using?
