DirectX problem on Win 7 32bit with ultimate collection from Origin

Sometimes install process stops at 25% without any error message.

As you can see, there's probably something wrong with DirectX.

Could you please follow these instructions:

Note: Vista/7 Users should install the game in Admin mode, to do this run Windows Explorer then browse to your DVD drive,
right click on Setup.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility > Tick "Run This Program as an Administrator". Also please install DrectX 9c for Windows Vista (32bit & 64bit)/Windows 7 (32bit) from the following link:

For Windows 7 64bit download & install the DirectX SDK from March 2008:

Load up both the 32bit and 64bit DirectX Control Panels and enable Hardware Acceleration:
Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft DirectX SDK (March 2008) -> DirectX Utilities -> DirectX Control Panel -> DirectDraw -> Tick "Hardware Acceleration" -> Click OK
Start -> All Programs -> Microsoft DirectX SDK (March 2008) -> DirectX Utilities (64-Bit) -> DirectX Control Panel -> DirectDraw -> Tick "Hardware Acceleration" -> Click OK

This will mean that all the older versions of DirectX are correctly installed and should avoid problems (mainly with Renegade) of games loading and not showing anything but a black screen.

When this doesn't work, try to redownload all the installationfiles and try to install it again. And maybe you can try to repair the installation?

This solution does not work at all.

The Installation goes through ORIGIN and not via a CD drive.

The Directx Version can't be downgraded even as admin:

Can you try it again with this installer?: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109. Before you do this, try to disable UAC.

I'm now also seeing that the link to the DirectX SDK links to an older version. Here you can download the newest one when the installer above fails: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=6812. You could also try to update your .NET framework to version 4.5: http://www.microsoft.com/nl-nl/download/details.aspx?id=30653. Run all the setups as an administrator.

And when that does not work then do the following:

I would suggest you to update video card driver for hardware and check if the issue still persists

- Type devmgmt.msc in start search box and hit Enter.
- In device manager, expand video card driver.
- Right click on it, click on update.
- Reboot the computer.

You could also search for the latest drivers on the website of manufacture of your video card (like intel, AMD, ATI, Nvida etc.)

When this all not work try to enter the command sfc/scannow at cmd.exe. This will search for damaged files af your computer and it will replace them.

Installation of SDX stops with error message and Dxlog shows this message:

Means a files can't be installed if it already exists

I THINK IT'S SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO DOWNGRADE DIRECTX 11. I HAVE REALLY NO IDEA HOW IT WORKS ON OTHER WIN / 32BIT MACHINES.

DIRECTX 11 ELIMINATES EVERY ACTION FROM ORIGIN OR CAUSED BY OLDER DIRECTX VERSIONS.

Delete the downloaded files (game cache, I think at %appdata%) and download the files again.
